The Street Market:
The  Street Market was alive with charity stalls, bargains, games to play, cakes to buy and so much more. There were refreshments and entertainment in the Church (over 8s could visit the bell tower) and various exhibitions nearby.

Family Picnic on Singlers Marsh:
Families from Welwyn and surrounding areas brought their picnic baskets to Singlers Marsh to be entertained by music, dancing and a children’s entertainer.

Family Concert
presented and performed by Fourté, a locally based string quartet, brought music to life for both adults and children.

Carnival Parade:
This year’s theme of Harry Potter is topical, as it co-incides with the release of the 5th book from J K Rowling.  Watch out for the Hogwarts Express steaming along the High Street!

Tagging along with the wizards and witches, we hope to see a number of muggles with their scarecrows for the competition at family fun day.

Festival Family Fun Day:
A great selection of food, drink, music, entertainment, prizes to win, games to play and competitions to enter, including the Duck Race and our version of Crufts, renamed Scruffs; this year, as promised, arena events include children’s races.

St.Mary’s School PTFA at the Fun Day
Come and join the Balloon Race! For only £1, you can buy a helium-filled balloon that you can release to the skies and maybe win a prize.

We also have a portrait artist who will produce a sketch in minutes!

And we shall be running the usual coconut shy for you to try your skills.

The 3rd Welwyn Prom:
Strawberries and cream and flags to wave - the 3rd Welwyn Prom promises to feature a wealth of music for all tastes.
